The Bangor Symphony Orchestra’s Music & Wellness Program inspires peace, healing and joy through music. Monthly visits by the BSO’s Juniper Quartet to your healthcare facility will be a bright spot on your program schedule that staff and patients eagerly look forward to.
- Musical programs and activities are customized to meet the needs of your patients and facility
- Program themes change with the season and focus on music your patients will connect to
- Participatory activities may include guided singing, dancing, clapping, rhythm sticks, and more as deemed appropriate by staff
- When used appropriately, music can shift mood, manage stress-induced agitation, stimulate positive interactions, facilitate cognitive function, and coordinate motor movements
Currently, the BSO is proud to partner with Acadia Hospital on programming developed for pediatric and adult patients. Inquiries about establishing a Music & Wellness Program at your facility may be directed to Brian Hinrichs, Executive Director at info @ bangorsymphony.org or (207) 942-5555 ext.1.
