Bangor, MEĀ — Young musicians in Central and Northern Maine are invited to apply for the 2018-2019 Season of the Bangor Symphony Youth Orchestras, led by conductors Sascha Zaburdaeva Lorimer and Rebecca Mallory. The application is available online, along with the newly announced season schedule.
Auditions will be held Thursday, September 13 and Sunday, September 16, 2018 for students wishing to join either the Prelude Wind Ensemble, Prelude String Orchestra, or Philharmonic Orchestra. Beginning students interested in the Pre-Orchestra Program led by Ryu Mitsuhashi do not have to audition, but should complete the online application.
The Bangor Symphony Youth Orchestras is the flagship education program of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, offering young musicians the chance to gain ensemble experience in an encouraging and motivating environment.
