BANGOR, ME – December 4, 2025 The Bangor Symphony Orchestra (BSO) has brought on Emma E. Wellington as the organization’s new marketing coordinator. Emma brings nearly a decade of experience in communication, relationship building, and community engagement to her new role with the BSO.
“We are very excited to welcome Emma to our Symphony family,” says Renia Shterenberg, Executive Director of the BSO. “In this newly created position of Marketing Coordinator, Emma will be working with many of our long-established community partners to help further the mission of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra. Her experience, combined with her passion for the arts, is something that we are excited to share with our community and supporters.”
Emma will work collaboratively with community partners to strengthen the BSO’s visibility, increase audience engagement, foster and strengthen media relationships, and promote BSO initiatives.
Prior to this appointment, Ms. Wellington worked in customer service, event production, and account management. Most recently, she has organized and promoted community events in Old Town as the downtown coordinator, building strong partnerships with local businesses and organizations and supporting initiatives that foster downtown growth. Emma’s volunteer leadership with local organizations reflects her dedication to inclusive community-building and collaboration — values she says she is excited to bring to BSO.
“It is an incredible honor to join the Bangor Symphony Orchestra and work alongside so many dedicated supporters, artists, and community members,” says Ms. Wellington. “I am eager to expand our reach and bring audiences closer to the music they love.”
Emma joins the BSO as preparations are underway for the winter slate of performances. Miracle on 34th Street: The Musical will be at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. Additionally, the Bangor Symphony Orchestra will present the Nutcracker with the Robinson Ballet at the Collins Center for the Arts in Orono on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 2 and 7 p.m., and a matinee on Sunday, Dec. 21 at 3 p.m.
