Support the Bangor Symphony Orchestra

Xiao-Lu Li, Music Director and Conductor
The Bangor Symphony Orchestra has been providing live music for the people of Bangor since 1896 and hasn't missed a season since. From Beethoven to Tchaikovsky, old and new, the Bangor Symphony has something for everyone this season. The Bangor Symphony begins its 114th season in October 2009 with its classical series of music, holiday favorites and summer POPS programs.

The Bangor Symphony Orchestra's 2008-2009 Season

When you support Bangor Symphony Orchestra, you're giving so much -- and in ways you might not even realize.

In addition to helping with the many day-to-day expenses involved in keeping an orchestra up and running, your gift sends the joy and experience of live music to school children from Jackman to Eastport and Kingfield to Phillips. Your support also helps run three concert coaches -- providing reasonably-priced transportation for many people who otherwise couldn't attend the Symphony -- and it allows us to give free tickets to music students.

Most importantly, your donations make it possible for the Bangor Symphony Orchestra to fulfill its mission: to provide Maine people with powerful, enriching, and diverse musical experiences and educational programs -- year after year, since 1896.

You make it happen!

Since ticket sales only cover about 39% of our annual budget, we depend on advertisers and donors like you to help us raise the rest -- nearly $420,000. Thanks so much for your support!
