The Bangor Symphony Orchestra's 2008-2009 Season

Auditions

The Bangor Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1896, and we haven't missed a season since, making BSO the oldest continuously operating community orchestra in the U.S.

Auditions are held every spring and fall, and you can find the dates, times and locations right here, or through local newspapers and radio stations.

Here's what's going on

Auditions: Date TBA
Open positions: contracted seats in violin, viola, cello sections; and substitute positions in all sections

General information The BSO season includes five masterworks concerts, three youth concerts, two performances of the Spirit of Bangor, summer POPS and other special events.

We pay our contracted musicians on a per service basis, including mileage and housing arrangements.
